How Our Draws Work: From Sold Out to Winner Announced

We get asked a lot about what actually happens at the moment a raffle is drawn, so here's the process in plain terms, with nothing glossed over.

A draw only happens once a raffle sells out

Every raffle on the Site must sell out before it's drawn. There's no fixed draw date that happens regardless of ticket sales; the advertised draw date is a target, not a guarantee, and the draw itself only takes place once every ticket has been allocated, whether bought or received as a free postal entry.

How the winning ticket is chosen

Once a raffle sells out, our team runs the draw using a cryptographically secure random number generator. This means every issued ticket number, purchased or entered for free by post, has an identical, equal chance of being selected. There's no manual selection and no weighting toward paid entries.

Draws are often streamed live on our social media channels, so you can watch the selection happen rather than just being told the result afterwards.

How you can check the result

The winning ticket number is published on the raffle's page once it's drawn, alongside the draw itself. If you kept your ticket confirmation, you can check your own numbers against it directly, rather than relying on being contacted first.

What happens after the draw

Winners are notified directly by our team using the email or phone number provided at entry, and are also announced on the Site and our social media channels. Cash prizes are transferred by bank transfer within 48 hours of the draw. Physical prizes are delivered free of charge within 14 working days.
